Shhhhh... I tell you something in secret. It’s more than 3 months when I was last wearing makeup!
And I love it!
My skin is soooooo refreshed, radiant and brighter.
I am sharing my story with you as a female portrait photographer because one of the most common questions I am asked by my clients before a lifestyle and branding outdoor portrait photo session is:
“do I need a makeup artist?”
or
“how much make up is recommended?”
and
“if I don't normally wear much make up, should I put some on for the photo shoot?”
I get it. I get it all.
My answer is always the same and super simple:
Be as authentic as possible during the photo session.
Wear the same level of makeup you would normally. I mostly shoot in natural light so you will always look great!
Keep it simple! If you’re not a big makeup person don’t feel pressure to change your look just for your photo session. If you are brave and bold “deva’, bring it on!
Less is more. More YOU!
You do not need makeup artist, you are already pretty. Yes, you are!
What makes you shine is a light, a passion, an energy that comes from within and connects to your ideal clients.
Do not forget to have a long beauty sleep day before the photo session so you feel and look rested.
Drink plenty of water day before and on the day. Skin looks plumper and more elastic when it’s well hydrated. Your eyes will also look brighter and clearer if you’re hydrated. So grab that water bottle!
