As you might already know, I have a passion for photographing empowered soulful women like you!
And I truly enjoy the creative process of designing the brand portraits photoshoot in sunny Brighton and capturing those expressive yet unique authentic headshots of dream seekers, purpose driven leaders, change makers, business coaches, healers, women in business….
But that isn’t my only passion…
Have you heard of breathwork?
It’s a powerful way to release stuck emotional energies that are trapped in the body.
Over time, these trapped emotions weigh us down, causing us to feel physically and mentally heavy, lost and burned out.
I suffered from this problem for years until I learned how to fully express and embody my emotions, allowing them to be felt and free to move on.
Breathwork has been a life-saver in this respect. That’s how I met Kim, Brighton based breathwork facilitator. Regular breath-work session with Kim helped me to feel open, present, expressive and less weighed down by life.
But here’s where it gets really interesting!
As my journey with breathwork unfolded my creative impulses became stronger and stronger above and beyond my photography.
After a breathwork session I would go home and journal and paint for hours. It was as if my hands were possessed. Emotions flowed through me onto the canvas and art journaling.
I can’t say in words how liberating and cathartic this was. I didn’t care about making something pretty. I was letting go through movement, colour, texture and tone.
And that’s when the idea for a new breathwork and creative art and art journaling event was born for Sussex, Brighton & Hove community.
A beautiful co-creation, collaboration with Kim Barnard ( Breathwork Facilitator from Brighton) who runs monthly breathwork workshops, events and retreat for women within Sussex and beyond.
And me, visual artist from Brighton: photography, videographer, abstract art, art workshops, art events and of course expressive art journaling as part of the Art of Breath event.
An event that fuses breathwork and intuitive mixed media abstract art journaling together in a safe space for women just like you and me.
It’s a place where we can breathe deeply to release the repressed emotions that weigh us down.
A place where our inner child is free to play with shapes, colours and textures.
A time to recharge our energy and ignite our creativity.
