Have you ever done something that’s so therapeutic, you just can’t stop?
That’s how l feel about painting intuitive large scale abstract artwork in my favourite professional Hove based art studio.
When I attended my first ever acrylic art painting workshop in Brighton I got SO inspired that I wanted to paint more! However, very quickly my demanding corporate 9-5 job and other commitments took over….
I spent years browsing art shops, buying new art supplies but actually never using them.
I spent years focusing on a corporate career and things that didn’t fill me with joy instead of making space for creativity.
Now, I feel incredibly lucky because I get to do things that makes me excited to wake up in the morning!
And . . .
I understand that it can be hard to make time for creativity.
That’s why I created PAINT with ME art workshops in my favourite Brighton and Hove professional art studio. I wanted a safe place to bring people together to explore intuitive abstract painting just for the fun and joy of it.
What to expect during intuitive painting workshops in Brighton?
This isn’t typical art class, “paint by numbers” or “copy me” painting workshop or art course in Sussex area. We do things differently:
We will paint big.
We will get messy.
We will paint intuitively, free flowing, expressive abstract.
We will have fun too!
This painting workshop is not about making pretty artwork. The more playful, free-flowing and expressive you are, the better!
It’s rare opportunity to let go of perfectionism, express yourself and experiment with a wide range of art materials (acrylic, watercolours, pastels, chalk, spray paint etc) to free our inner artist and find our creative voice.
Painting helps me to come back to myself because the busyness of the world makes me lose ourselves.
Painting allows me to channel my emotions into something beautiful. When I paint I become exquisitely present and every stroke of the brush feels healing.
By slowing down, letting go and surrendering, with each brush stroke I allow the piece to evolve, to reveal itself freely, to emerge from the canvas in its own time.
Every stroke of the brush is an emotional release and when I finish a painting, I feel like l’ve accomplished something truly special.
And when I see my painting hanging on wall, it’s like a reminder that even in this crazy world we can still find beauty all around.
Who is this art workshop for?
The best part is that it doesn’t matter if you’ve never painted before or if you are a PRO!
My painting workshop experience is a joy-filled, judgment-free zone! Everyone is welcome, beginners, adults and teenagers.
In abstract painting you can’t make mistakes so anyone can do it. Even those who think they aren’t creative or can’t paint or draw. And those who haven’t picked up a paintbrush in a while but are longing to express themselves through art are welcome too. Including artist who are looking to loosen up and paint more freely and intuitively.
I am bringing all my art materials, paints, brushes (you are welcome to bring yours too) so you can use them. A large canvas will be available too and delicious lunch will be provided as well. All you have to do is just come with an open minded to my favourite Lawrence Art Studio in Brighton & Hove (only 1 hour from London).
Paint with me. Because life without art is just ehh… don’t you agree?
Looking back, I wish I was part of a creative community where I could come and paint with others. I needed accountability, connection, inspiration and a creative space I could call “home.”

“I loved this workshop. Magdalena sets up a warm, inviting, creative space. I like the balance in the day, the time to explore, experiment, and discover, as well as time to reflect, rest and contemplate. Magdalena gave me sensitive support and encouragement, coaching me forward in my own unfolding process. She has such care and generosity of spirit. And I loved all the nibbles, the array of coffee and teas, as well as the gentle social time enjoying a healthy lunch. The day acted as the spring board I needed. I now feel much more confident. I recommend this intuitive painting adventure!”
