Introduction to Intuitive Abstract Painting workshop: 22nd February
Introduction to Intuitive Abstract Painting workshop: 22nd February
Learn intuitive, free-flowing, expressive intuitive abstract painting in Magdalena’s private Art Studio, Brighton & Hove!
In this dynamic, beginners friendly, adult painting art workshop, you'll learn the art of spontaneous, intuitive abstract painting on a small canvas. With a bold colour palette and fast brush movements, we'll embrace the joy of creating without expectations.
But I have to warn you…
This isn’t a typical painting art class in Brighton. This isn’t a “paint by numbers” workshop or “copy how I paint” approach.
In this class we do things differently:
You will let go of perfectionism by resisting the urge to paint “pretty” or “perfect” or “easy”…. you’ll have a full permission to be free, spontaneous, brave and messy.
You will discover the intuitive abstract mark-making, texture making and layering process (no artistic experience is necessary).
You will express yourself with colours, shapes and texture and create a piece of abstract artwork on a small canvas that reflects your innermost feelings.
Unique opportunity to experiment with different mixed media art materials: acrylic, spray paint, gesso and watercolour paint, pastels, charcoal and other art materials.
Best of all, you'll take home your own one-of the kind abstract artwork on a small canvas and a collection of mini-abstract artworks that can be framed.
This 4 hour introduction to intuitive abstract painting workshop will take place in my private Art studio in Brighton & Hove, Sussex UK, 1 hour from London. This mixed-media painting workshop is for adults and teenagers and is perfect for beginners.
What to expect:
Grounding Circle: We start by getting to know each other, setting intentions and embodiment exercises (breath or meditation) to help you ground, become more present and open to the free-flowing creative state.
Playful Exploration: Together, we will explore various art materials like acrylics, gesso, charcoal, pastels and my favourite abstract painting techniques by creating a collection of mini-abstracts on paper. All centred around experimentation, expression and letting go (perfect to be framed or used as greeting cards).
Create your own abstract painting on canvas: express yourself with an intuitive abstract painting on small canvas.
Meaningful Connection: Bond with other participants over herbal tea and delicious nourishing treats & cake in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. If the weather permits it we will take full advantage of time in the garden.

“What a joy Magdalena brings to creativity. I went along to this workshop somewhat nervously as I have never considered myself to be creative in any way. I felt a strong urge to discover a more playful side of myself, to be playfully curious and to let go of limiting beliefs. Magdalena was exactly the right person to help me along this journey. I will definitely return and highly recommend this to anyone looking for fun and to explore their inner child and get messy, colourful and playful resulting in an individual "work of art" to hang on your wall. Thank you so much! A kind, gentle, warm and welcoming host who also provided delicious drinks, cakes and nibbles in a beautiful setting. Have fun and maybe see you there!”
"I thoroughly enjoyed several hours in Magdalena's beautiful studio, completely in flow. I found her to be an encouraging, generous and super patient teacher. She explained various techniques very clearly and has created a safe, nurturing and artistic environment. I left feeling revived, inspired and confident enough to continue practicing what we had learnt at home. Highly recommended!"

I spent years browsing art shops, buying supplies but never using them.
I spent years focusing on a corporate career, success, recognition and things that didn’t fill me with joy instead of making space for creativity.
Now, I feel incredibly lucky because I get to do things that makes me excited to wake up in the morning!
And . . .
I understand that it can be hard to make time for creativity.
That’s why I created PAINT with ME, the most experimental abstract painting workshops and courses in professional Brighton art studio where all art materials, large canvas and lunch is provided. With years of experience I blend
Looking forward to paint with you.

“I am still buzzing after the painting experience “if only my art teacher at school had been more like Magdalena!”. You have opened up my creative side (that I knew was hidden deep within). We are in now in the process of setting up an art space in the garage! Massive thank you for providing such a delightful, informative and inspiring workshop. Your technique and delivery puts the afraid, anxious and doubtful at ease. What a wonderful talent you have.”
Please note: This is not about creating beautiful art or being good at painting. It’s a way to express yourself, experiment with art materials while having fun. With abstract painting there is no right or wrong so you can’t make mistakes. Your hands will move intuitively, without thought. I will be there to inspire you and guid you. Together we will learn to let go, surrender and see what emerges in front of us. No previous experience is required.
Cancelation Policy: due to the nature of the workshop (art supplies and canvases purchased in advance, limited capacity in the professional art studio) I will not be able to offer a full refund once a purchase has been made for any reason.
