3 steps to make your small business visible online - Sussex Professional Photographer and Videographer
What if Instagram or Facebook shut down tomorrow? All your amazing content & followers (aka potential clients) disappear over night!
Have you ever thought about it from your business visibility perspective?
You might be utilising many social media platforms right now: IG, FB, LinkedIn, Club House... but do you actually control the reach of your posts or own those platforms?
Do you know which platform offers you the highest ROI/ conversion?
If yes, are you investing enough time in those platforms?
So here is the thing . . .
As a Sussex Brighton & Hove professional portrait photographer & videographer with 6 years experience, you want to send your client traffic directly to your website (or mailing list which I still don’t have lol, but that’s a discussion for another time).
As a Professional Portrait brand photographer based in Brighton & Hove, my favourite visibility medium is website as I feel I have actual control over: the visual design, content, user experience and SEO (search engine optimisation).
But there is more!
3 steps to make your small business more visible online for your potential clients:
1. Launching, updating and re-branding your website
Did you know…by not having a website you might be losing 80% of your potential clients!!!
AND...
Updating content, re-designing, re-branding your website can increase your conversion by over 30%!!!! 30%!
That’s what I learned from Aga, London based web-designer, founder of squarespace.com during our professional indoor brand photoshoot in my professional home photography studio, Brighton & Hove, Sussex.
This bubbly soul creates a website worthy of the amazing work YOU do!
That made me think...
When was the last time you updated content of your website?
Released the blog post using professional brand pictures showcasing person behind the brand, you?
When was the last time you updated your profile portrait & headshot in your “about me” section?
Or your main hero brand image on your landing page?
Doing that will improve your SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) visibility of your website in Google search engine.
2. Set up Google business account
Have you set up a Google My Business account for your business (make sure you link it to your address & website)?
It’s free to do it and it helps your business be more visible across Google search engine and Google Maps.
When the last time did you updated the Google business account?
Are you asking regularly for reviews and feedback from your clients?
Did you know you can create posts, updates and offers there too?
3. Clients review and testimonials are powerful!
Are you collecting your clients reviews (ideally video format)?
If yes, are you utilising public platform for it? Like Google Business account?
Are you incorporating reviews directly on your website?
What is stopping you and your business to be more visible?
I’m not photogenic…
I feel uncomfortable with self-promotion…
I feel uncomfortable in front of the camera…
I feel like everyone else is so much further ahead and better…
Like many of you, I also get shy in front of the camera. Believe me or not but I also face my inner critic and imposter syndrome – and yes, a professional female portrait photographer is saying it herself!
I’ve got you covered!
