8 ways to make the most of your brand images - UK Branding Portrait Photographer
Magdalena Smolarska
Many people underestimate the power of Professional Personal Brand Portrait and Product images when it comes to their business visibility and engagement on social media.
Good quality branding photography is an important element to building your brand, conveying your passion and elevating your business
Authenticity, honesty and storytelling are the most effective, engaging and powerful tools for communicating with your audience, followers and potential clients; and even more so if you are a service based business and have an online presence.
Literally, every aspect of marketing and branding communication includes brand visuals, yet, so many of us failed to maximise benefits of having brand images when it comes to engagement.
There are countless ways and places where you need to use professional brand photography for your business.
Here is a roundup of 8 different ways you can use your brand photography more effectively:
Place them throughout your Website
This is the number one way to use your personal brand images. When people go to your website, they really want to see your face!
They want to meet the person they’ll be working with.
If you are providing a service to your clients, I would strongly recommend having the branding portrait image of you on each page of your website. Or at least cover:
About Me Page
Website Header Image
Guest Blog post
Contact Page
Many of my clients incorporate branding portrait images with modern graphics and text to maximise the engagement.
Maggie, life and business coach is a great example. See for your self what we created together during our Professional half-dayBranding Portrait Photo session in London:
2. Use them on Social Media platforms: FB, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn & other platforms
Did you know that photos with faces get 38% more likes than those without?
Not only that, I’ve noticed the posts that get the most engagement are photos of me and not photos of my clients.
One of the best ways to connect with your audience and increase engagement is to use your branding images as follows:
Profile picture on social media platform (FB, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter) especially if you are product & service business.
As post and story or branded quotes for social media
Cover photo on your Facebook group, Twitter, FB, Youtube Channel
Sponsored Ads on FB & Instagram
Google+ Business Photos
Pins on Pinterest
Love seeing my clients not only sharing branding portrait images of themselves but also incorporating a powerful key message or quotes for better engagement.
3. Place them in your newsletters and Email signature
I maintain my personalised connection with my clients during all communication channels, including emails. I love personalised my emails so my clients remember who I am. They are likely remember my face than name
Use images in places such as:
Email Signature
Email Header
Email Newsletters
3. On your BLOG or guest blog posts
Right, I can’t stress enough the benefits of blogging.
Blog posts not only help with SEO of your website but good blog content helps to showcase your work, your story, your business and your brand. With that said, no matter how well written or interesting your blog posts are, without appealing images to support your copy, most readers will quickly lose interest.
I use multiple lifestyle branding portrait & product images as:
Blog post headers
4-5 branding images in the body of your blog post
4. Podcast cover design
More and more of my clients are launching podcast and I am over the moon seeing creative design of their podcast covers which change each time they release a new episode to keep it engaging and fresh.
My client Lulu, She Rebel Radio, the podcast empowering professional women to pave their own way to success is a great example:
5. Business cards
I don’t know about you but I go to many networking events during a month and I tell you something….
I go back home with many business cards in my pocket but always struggle to connect dots, who is who???
So, I decided to make others lives easy by incorporating branding portrait images of me with my camera on my business card.
One of the most effective ways to remind others of your face with your name!
6. Place them in your sales, landing pages, welcome packs and pricing guide
This will lead to better conversion rates.
I am a fan of welcome packs!
Such a great way to introduce your brand to new clients.
Simply by putting together a variety of strong brand images of you, your product, your service, you can effectively impress and attract new clients.
Have you tried it?
7. Refresh your profile pictures every few months so that people see a new image of you.
Such a simple thing but it helps put you back in the front of their mental database.
My small advise. If you refresh your profile picture, I would suggest to use the same branding portrait image across all platforms so people can quickly recognise you, your account.
8. Other Marketing Materials:
Leaflets, Flyers and Banners for expo events
Printed Marketing Materials
Online Interviews
Slides for Workshops and Talks
Event Invite
Magazine Features, Press release
Magazine Adverts
Thank you cards
