Female Networking in Brighton - Promo Video by Visual Artist Magdalena Smolarska
Female entrepreneurs really are superheroes! Yes, we are!
As a Professional Portrait Photographer & Visual Artist, I have been asked this question a lot: “Magdalena, you must be so busy all the time, I don't know how you do it!”… Well….
LONDON & BRIGHTON PERSONAL BRAND PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER & VIDEOGRAPHER
Whether you are working for yourself, are spinning a side hustle, or you are aspiring to quit the 9-5, running your own business is like roller-coaster. Most of us are juggling: family, partner, friends and working on making our business dreams into reality.
As much as it is an exciting journey… It could be a pretty lonely and isolated journey too!
But it does not have to be like that!
When I re-located from London to Brighton in April last year I was terrified!
Yes, I was terrified!
I left behind friends, corporate work 9-5, connections… As much as I enjoyed Brighton during summer time, I was longing to connect with like-minded and inspiring women within Sussex community.
The power of human connection can’t be measured. It’s a insatiable desire to be seen, to be heard and to be feel part of something.
Don’t you agree?
Very quickly I discovered Girl Tribe Gang monthly meet ups. I was really inspired by what I read about the community, their brand values, and saw it as a great opportunity to meet like-minded women and support this beautiful community.
And that’s what I did.
Girl Tribe Gang provides an alternative to traditional corporate networking with ‘no suits, no hotels, no corporate nonsense, no breakfast meetings, no sticky name labels, no eating in front of strangers, no board tables, no awkward introductions, and no death by power point presentations’!
It’s about making warm and genuine connections and really developing a strong support network in your area, where women can raise each other up and collaborate.
Collaboration is one of my key values when I run my business! I am huge believer in the power of networking which leads to many collaborations. I love working and collaborating with inspiring female entreprenours in our community, empowering each other and helping to grow in confidence and knowledge hence not a surprise Girl Tribe Gang is a place where those things happen.
If you don't know what to expect then take a peek at this.
They are a welcoming, friendly, creative bunch who enjoy meeting once a month over a drink or two to share stories, inspire, connect and collaborate together. You can expect relaxed setting and embracing meeting new people in a non cheesy, non awkward networking way!
