This vibrant acrylic abstract, on a large canvas, was inspired by my need (as an empath) for emotional protection.

An umbrella shields me from rain, and this painting echoes the concept through shapes, abstract arch lines and bold black stripes, which all symbolise protection.

The vibrant colours represent the enhanced sensory experience a person with a sensitive nervous system can encounter when in a crowded place. It speaks of a desire to be shielded from the chaos of life.

This piece combines an orange and turquoise colour palette, contrasted and balanced with black acrylic paint, which brings feelings of warmth and joy despite its deeper meaning.
